How to Clean Timberland Boots?
As the brand uses the finest raw materials to tackle the conditions, this simple guide has all the tips to keep your boots in pristine condition.
To remove dirt from leather boots, lightly brush them down to remove any excess mud. Use a soft cloth or sponge soaked in warm, soapy water to clean evenly; gently dry with a towel before leaving them in a ventilated area overnight to dry.
To remove dirt from suede boots, lightly brush the excess mud off; take a wire brush down the boot evenly, focusing on darker spots or marks. For any stubborn scuffs, use an eraser bar.
To remove water stains, dampen the area around the stain using room temperature water, (use a soft cloth or sponge for leather and a suede restorer brush on suede). Gently rub or brush the moisture into the shoe, focusing on the stain. Stuff your suede boots with paper – not newspaper – in a well-ventilated arear to dry.
To remove salt stains, brush off the excess salt; mix one part vinegar with two parts water and rub it into your boot using a soft cloth. Use a fresh cloth to wipe away the residue and leave them to dry overnight.
To remove grease stains, blot the excess grease with absorbent paper or tissue. Sprinkle over an absorbent powder – such as talcum – on the area and leave them to dry overnight. Don’t rub the powder in; brush it off the next morning.
How To Wear Timberland Boots?
Start by picking a bold shade of the boot. From eye-catching yellow to all black, the workwear aesthetic pairs with straight-leg jeans that contrasts strongly – we’re talking blue denim against lighter shades and neutral tones against a richer colourway.
Once you’ve got the bottom half covered, the top half can easily be switched up as the seasons change. The sturdy boot and rugged jacket combo deliver go-to looks in the colder months, while lighter flannel shirts work just as well with chinos in Spring and Summer.
Need something lighter? A colourful tee helps dress down your denim and boots combo when the sun hits.
How To Style Timberland Boots?
Everyone has their own individual way of styling things, but Timberland has dropped their top tips on how to rep the iconic 6-inch Original Boot.
What started out at a utility-inspired design was soon adopted by the fashion world as a statement silhouette that works throughout the year.
From loose or skinny jeans to short dresses, skirts, shorts or cargos, whatever look you’re going for determines whether you need a formal or rugged pair.
Made for both streetwear or smart casual styles, the boot stays trending in Summer with wide-leg trousers and shorts, while leggings, combats and straight jeans combine with big coat season in Winter.
