How do you clean On Running shoes?
Dirty running trainers aren’t a badge of honour, you’ve got to respect your gear. Cleaning your On Running shoes is easy and won’t take up too much of your time. Here’s how to do it.
Firstly, you’re gonna need the right stuff. You probably won’t need everything here, that’ll depend on how dirty your trainers are. But, to cover all bases, grab yourself: some soap, a soft brush (an old toothbrush will do), some baking soda, a sponge, a bucket of warm water and some paper towels.
Use the brush to remove any excess dirt or large chunks of mud before the cleaning starts. Then, remove the laces and insoles and either soak in soapy water or run through the washing machine. For the outer, mix warm water with soap and gently rub with a soft sponge. If the outsoles are particularly dirty, use baking soda and water for the best results.
For drying, pop some scrunched up paper inside the shoe to absorb moisture and leave to air-dry at room temperature. Reassemble the shoe and you’re done!
Which On Running shoe is best for me?
Whatever your plans, On Running will have the shoe for you. From road-running to the trails, here are the best trainers for your goals.
If you’re planning on tearing up the tarmac, opt for the Cloudmonster, Cloudswift or Cloudtilt for the ultimate performance boost. Light and slick with excellent energy return, you can’t go wrong.
Heading off the beaten path? If the trails are where you’re going, then the Cloudvista should be your go-to. Durable for tackling tough environments, they’re supportive with ultra-firm grip for when the terrain gets tricky.
