JD Freshers Fairs Prize Pull Competition Terms and Conditions

By taking part in this competition, you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions, then you should not take part in the competition. It is your responsibility to ensure that you review the terms and conditions before entering the competition. We, JD Sports Fashion plc (“JD Sports”), recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference during the competition. JD Sports is the promoter of this competition in conjunction with Sidekick Live Ltd incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 12419251 whose registered office address is at 3 The Mount, Trumpgreen Road, Virginia Water, Surrey, GU25 4EJ ("Sidekick”) who will be running this competition.

1. What can you win?

There will be multiple winners who may win one of the following :

• One (1) x chance to enter into the Trainer Prize Draw in which one (1) entrant will win a pair of trainers of their choice (“Trainer Prize Draw”) (terms and conditions for the Trainer Prize Draw can be found at Appendix 1); or ( ;

• One (1) x £5 JD Group gift card (there are 90 of these prizes available to win per live day) (the “£5 Gift Card”); or

• One (1) x £50 JD Group gift card (there will be only one (1) winner per live day) (the “£50 Gift Card”),

each a “Prize”.

To be in with a chance of winning a Prize, you must attend the JD Prize Pull event at one of the following freshers fair events and enter the competition:

1. Coventry University Freshers Fair between 10:00am (UK time) and 4:00pm (UK time) on Monday 16th September 2024, and between 10:00am (UK time) and 4:00pm (UK time) on Tuesday 17th September 2024;or

2. Nottingham Trent University Freshers Fair between 10:00am (UK time) and 5:00pm (UK time) on Wednesday 18th September 2024, and between 10:00am (UK time) and 5:00pm (UK time) on Thursday 19th September 2024; or

3. Manchester Metropolitan University Freshers Fair between 10:00am (UK time) and 4:00pm (UK time) on Tuesday 24th September 2024, and between 10:00am (UK time) and 4:00pm (UK time) on Wednesday 25th September 2024,

each a “Participating Event”). Each day of the Participating Event can be considered a “Participating Event Day”).

The Prize is subject to availability. The Prize cannot be exchanged for cash value, resale, exchange, donation, money and is non-transferable. The Prize is subject to winner confirmation (i.e. JD Sports has been able to contact winners and has been able to confirm eligibility). JD Sports has the right to change, alter or withdraw the competition or Prize at any time due to any change in any applicable law or any events outside the control of JD Sports. JD Sports shall not be responsible for any delay, cancellation or rescheduling of the Prize. If any part of the Prize is not claimed (for whatever reason), JD Sports is under no obligation to supply an alternative prize.

2. What is excluded from the Prize?

It is the winners’ responsibility to organise and pay for anything excluded from the Prize including travel to and from the Participating Event.

3. Who can enter?

Entrants must:

• be aged 18 years or over;

• be a resident of England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland;

• have downloaded the JD Status app; and

• attend a Participating Event and enter the competition (as set out in clause 4 below).

JD Sports reserves the right to ask the winners to provide proof of age. Employees (and their immediate family) of the JD Sports group (http://www.jdplc.com/our-group/sports-fashion.aspx), or anyone else professionally connected with this competition are not eligible to enter the competition. JD Sports reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to decide if the eligibility criteria are met. If the eligibility criteria are not met, the entry will be invalid.

4. How to enter

Entrants can enter the competition by:

1. attending a Participating Event;

2. downloading the JD Status app on their device (e.g. smart phone) and showing the staff at the Participating Event that this step has been completed;

3. participating in a “Prize Pull” game whereby entrants pull the lever of the activation and attempt to match three (3) icons. The symbols represent each Prize . Each entrant has one (1) attempt at pulling the lever and matching three (3) icons (the “Game”).

Internet service providers’ fees may apply when accessing the internet. No purchase is necessary to enter the competition.

Participation is limited to one entry per person at the Participating Event only. If more than one such entry is received, only the first entry will be accepted. No responsibility is taken for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected or incomplete or cannot be delivered or entered for any technical or other reason.

5. Closing Times

Coventry University – In respect of each Participating Event Day for this Participating Event, the promotion will begin on:

• Monday 16th September 2024 at 10:00am (UK time) and end at 4:00pm (UK time) or once all available Prizes for the Participating Event Day have been won, whichever is earlier;

• Tuesday 17th September 2024 between 10:00am (UK time) and end at 4:00pm (UK time), or all available Prizes for the Participating Event Day have been won, whichever is earlier.

Any entries received after or outside of these dates and times will not be valid for the applicable Participating Event.

Nottingham Trent University – In respect of each Participating Event Day for this Participating Event, the promotion will begin on:

• Wednesday 18th September 2024 between 10:00am and 5:00pm (UK time) or once all available Prizes for the Participating Event Day have been won, whichever is earlier;

• Thursday 19th September 2024 between 10:00am and 5:00pm (UK time) or once all available Prizes for the Participating Event Day have been won, whichever is earlier.

Any entries received after or outside of these dates and times will not be valid for the applicable Participating Event.

Manchester Metropolitan University – In respect of each Participating Event Day for this Participating Event, the promotion will begin on:

• Tuesday 24th September 2024 between 10:00am and 4:00pm (UK time) or once all available Prizes for the Participating Event Day have been won, whichever is earlier;

• Wednesday 25th September 2024 between 10:00am and 4:00pm (UK time) or once all available Prizes for the Participating Event Day have been won, whichever is earlier.

Any entries received after or outside of these dates and times will not be valid for the applicable Participating Event.

6. How are winners selected?

The participants of the Game who match three (3) icons on the screen will win the applicable Prize indicated by the matching icons.

Winners of the £5 Gift Card or £50 Gift Card will receive their Prize from a member of the team instantly at the Participating Event within the live times.

Those who win the Trainer Prize Draw entry will be given the opportunity to provide their details to a member of our team using our microsite (which is managed on our behalf by Sidekick) and enter the Trainer Prize Draw, the winner of which will be selected per the terms of the Trainer Prize Draw terms and conditions at Appendix 1 below.

The decision of JD Sports is final and binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winners (other than with the winners themselves).

In the event that the winner does not communicate their acceptance of the Prize within thirty (30) minutes of notification, the winner forfeits, and will be considered to have waived their right to the Prize. In this instance, JD Sports reserves the right to select an alternative winner (in accordance with the process set out above) and will be deemed to have so assumed that the original winner waived their right to the Prize.

7. Winners’ Responsibilities

It is the winners’ responsibility to: (i) organise and pay costs for anything excluded from the Prize, including travel to and from the Participating Event and refreshments; (ii) complete all stages of the How to enter section above and present evidence of such completion to a member of staff at the Participating Event; (iii) provide accurate contact details; (iv) provide valid proof of age, which is required to enter the competition; (v) adhere to local laws in the UK; and (vi) comply with any rules, instructions, requirements, terms and conditions or regulations of the event organiser. JD Sports will not be liable to the winners or any other persons where they fail to comply with such responsibilities and any such failure may result in forfeiture of the Prize.

9. Publicity

By taking part in the competition, entrants may be invited to participate in publicity at JD Sports’ request if they are a winner of the competition. Entrants agree that JD Sports (or any third party nominated by JD Sports) may in its sole discretion use their comments relating to the Prize and their experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid (including for the avoidance of doubt when responding to any third party). Any use of images or other personal information that could identify entrants will be subject to the entrants’ consent.

JD Sports reserves the right to withdraw any or all of the Prizes (or any part of it) if a winner breaches any of the terms in these terms and conditions or if they are found to have acted in a dishonest or fraudulent manner.

10. Which law applies to this competition?

This competition is governed by the law of England and Wales and the participants of the competition submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.

Appendix 1- Trainers Prize Draw 2024 Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

By taking part in this prize draw you accept and agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions, then you should not take part in the prize draw. It is your responsibility to ensure that you review the terms and conditions before entering the prize draw. We JD Sports Fashion plc (“JD Sports”), recommend that you print and store or save a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference during the prize draw.

There will be one (1) winner who will win:

- One 1 x pair of trainers, selected from the JD Sports website (www.jdsports.co.uk) up to the value of £100,

(the “Prize“).

This prize draw is for JD Sports customers who are residents of England, Scotland or Wales only. The Prize is subject to availability. The Prize may not be exchanged for a cash value, nor is it transferable or resalable. The Prize is subject to winner confirmation (i.e. JD Sports has been able to contact winners and has been able to confirm eligibility). JD Sports has the right to change, alter or withdraw the prize draw or Prize at any time due to any change in any applicable law or any events outside the control of JD Sports. 5. Opening/ Closing Times

The prize draw will commence on Monday 16 September 2024 at 10:00am (GMT) and will close at 16:00pm (GMT) on Wednesday 25 September 2024. Any entries received after this date and time will not be valid.

6. How are winners selected?

Winners of the Trainer Prize Draw Entry at the JD Freshers Prize Pull Competition must provide their name, address, email address and phone number to the JD Staff at the Participating Event to be entered into the prize draw. Those details will be entered into our microsite (which is managed by Sidekick).

Following the competition, The winner will be selected on a random basis by a random name generator. The decision of JD Sports is final and binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of the winners (other than with the winners themselves). The winners will be notified via email within 48 hours of the prize draw end date and time that they have won and will be required to confirm their acceptance of the Prize within four (4) days of the date of the email by providing their postal address. In the event that the winner does not communicate their acceptance of the Prize within four (4) days of the date of the email, despite JD Sports’ reasonable efforts to contact them, JD Sports reserves the right to pick another winner (in accordance with the procedure set out in this section) and the original winner will be considered to have waived their right to the Prize.
