Starting out as a modest workwear boot, Dr. Martens boots have evolved to become one of the most popular and stylish pairs in the game.

Dr. Martens roots can be traced back to 1945, when Dr. Klaus Maertens created a boot with a unique air-cushioned sole instead of the classic hardened leather sole.

Later picked up by the Griggs family in Northamptonshire in 1960, the boot was altered and reborn as the iconic, eight holed 1460. The rest is history.

Fast-forward over 70 years, and DMs remain one of the most popular boots about. What began as a worker’s boot has now transformed into a fashion icon.
