Designed by Sergio Lozano back in 1995, the legendary Nike Air Max 95 trainers represent the human anatomy—with all the parts linking up and working together in harmony.

Up top, layers of mesh and synthetic leather work together to create a gradient effect with a bold, wavy look. There are also some pairs with suede up there, too.

The foam midsole represents the spine, the panels are the muscles, and the laces take their spot as the ribs.

And, of course, there’s the signature Max Air unit. Nike’s iconic cushioning technology takes comfort to another level.

In 2025, to celebrate their 30th anniversary, Nike brought the ‘Big Bubble’ unit back to the streets on a few pairs. This was an even closer resemblance to the OG from ’95, with larger Air units in both the heel and forefoot.

On the outsole, flex grooves let you move freely, while classic Air Max branding gives them that signature Swoosh sign-off.

No matter if you call them 95s or 110s, the AM95 is a staple in the Swoosh sneaker line-up.
